I found this letter mixed in with Grandma’s things. She saved it for a long time! I hope it comes through clearly. If not, I will figure out how to make it clear. It is dated February 3, 1960.

January 1980
Grandma often wrote a week’s worth of entries on Sunday afternoons. This is the first entry in her 1980 Journal.
I am beginning a new journal at the beginning of the year 1980. Although this is not actually the beginning of a new decade, they are referring to it as such. Actually, to me, it seems like the beginning of a new era. When I stop and think of the turbulence on the past ten years, I wonder what is going to happen in the next ten. If events transpire as swiftly we will indeed be on the threshold of the millennial period. It seems as though governments are very nearly on the brink of disaster and destruction; not only federal but also state and county governments. I am in a position to see and observe these situations where others may not be so aware of these conditions. I am going to included in my journal copies of newspaper articles and information such as I feel will be of interest to anyone who may read my journal at a later date. I hope I can write in such a manner and spirit that it may be helpful to the readers. This newspaper article caused a great amount of concern. (article not included) I just shows how subtle Satan can be in his methods of destroying the souls of the people and dragging them down to hell.
