In Sacrament Meeting, I san with the choir and it was really beautiful. I never flattered myself into thinking I added anything to it but at least I didn’t detract from it. Then Keith and Faye Donna talked on “Our Heritage”. This was exceptional. As I was coming home from church I saw Lynn Hannum, Olga’s daughter-in-law. I haven’t seen her for a long time and it was a real pleasure. Pat called me in and gave me 2 baked potatoes, some hamburger patties and 2 slices of fresh, home baked bread. I had a very delicious dinner. I used the remainder of the day for writing in my journal, letters, reading and sleeping.

We had another comm’s meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. Larry Parker from Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was there to discuss the rodeo which they had scheduled for May. The comm’s were very upset over the results of the meeting.
Pat’s dog got shot the morning of the 28th but he just won’t keep him locked up.
Eva and Lincoln came over in the evening home teaching and told me about it. It’s so nice to have them come and visit with me. I told them they could come every month.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day today, Pat’s birthday and Jim Turner’s. I called Pat up and wished him happy birthday. Lisa and Amy came in this morning chirping like little birds. Lisa picked out green earrings for me to wear to work – I already had on a green shirt. Mildred called me before I went to work and said they were planning a family get-together up at Lloyd and Arlyn’s next Saturday at 7:00 p.m. There are so many activities on it’s hard to make a decision as to what to do. We had a special interest activity planned for that night in Morgan Second Ward. I decided to let Esther Stephens make my decision for me. She is the hostess. She told me my place is with my family so I’ll abide by her advice. Paradise here I come!
I had some wonderful news tonight. I called Jackie to see if we could go visiting teaching next week and she told me she is expecting a baby about the middle of Sept. Isn’t that great?
(Note: Pat = Russell “Pat” Mecham, Grandpa’s brother; Lloyd Olsen was Grandma Mary’s brother; Grandma’s family came from Paradise, Utah in Cache Valley. The baby was John.)
